Below you will find a poem about Flat Rock Baptist Church that Tony wrote.
We pray you will be blessed by this creation and will worship the Risen Savior as you read it.
Flat Rock Baptist Church
It was built on a rock, by the strongest of hands,
so carefully placed, by the mortar and sand.
A house for the Lord, our first little school,
there were many people, taught instead of ruled.
What started out small, yet grew through the years,
many of its people, still buried without fear.
Ours, the last wedding, before the new building,
the start of a new era, but the pride n'er ending.
Now here lies our chapel, still built upon stone,
proudly we worship, as we have on and on.
A building with no stairs, a fellowship hall,
a place to be proud of, this place that we call.
Flat Rock Baptist Church, the house built of rock,
the love of its people, the strength of its flock.
Its walls will withstand, many years of time,
it's a church that I love, I'm glad to call it mine.
So come sense the fellowship, feel all the love,
a church like this one, is a gift from above...
